Where is Summer?

We have had a remarkable amount of rain so far this summer, but despite this, more in hope than expectation, I have named my latest black bear cub 'Summer'.  She is a cutie, made of black Schulte alpaca and has a locline neck and spine, wired arms and four nut and bolt joints.  Her eyes are black glass and she has leather eyelids.  Her nose has been hand-moulded by myself using epoxy clay.  She is stuffed with Bouncifill and contains a calico bag of stainless steel balls.  Her pawpads are made from brown glove leather.  She is equally happy standing on all fours or sitting like a teddy.  Summer is on her way to California!

The Show has Started

The Friends of Teddy online show has now started.  I have created five pieces for the show.  They all hark back to earlier times and look great alongside classic teddy bears.  I had so much fun drawing out their patterns and making them, including their wooden trolleys.  They will be available for adoption, at http://www.teddiesworldwide.com until Sunday evening.

Now adopted and heading for Maryland.
Now adopted and heading for Ohio.
Now adopted and heading to California.
